In Vietnam, we plan to enjoy ourselves and do whatever pulls us. Only 3 days in Vietnam then a bus ride to Phnom Penh.
In Cambodia we will be spending time in at the Killing Fields to pay respects and really understand what these people have endured. I am sure this will be a very somber and gut wrenching day, however I do not want to be blind to the realities of what people have faced.
We will be then going to Siem Reap by bus
We will be going to lots of temples, of course Angkor_Wat but a lot of others too. I am most excited about the children, they have little but are so happy to be have visitors and love attention. Most people of Cambodia are kind and happy. It is their culture. I can't wait to see these beautiful people and embrace their culture.
Then we will be crossing the border into Thailand. Oh boy this is going to be interesting. We need to get a bus, a gov't bus to the border. Get off the bus, with out things, walk to the border, go through customs, then find our bus on the other side and ride to Bangkok. 8 hours but what way to see the countryside.
We have to get visas for Vietnam and Cambodia, thats a lot of work too but I am happy Amanda is figuring that stuff out.
Once we are in Bangkok, we will spend the night, then catch train to Ayutthaya for the day
Then we will catch the night train to Chiang Mai for a week!!
A week of Markets and meeting people, Elephant Nature Park, bike riding all over, exploring and living
Then we fly to the Islands. We wanted to take a train but it takes 2 full days and honestly, we want to experience the country.
Koh Phi Phi, Koh Tao and Koh Lanta
Then after almost 3 weeks we will head into Bangkok for 3 days where Tatyanah will shop the rest of her money away!
Then we fly home, we will be in 3 countries on New Years Eve!!!
