Sick!

I never get sick and the last few days I have been having a wee watering eye and a wee sniffle of the nose...but last night I was a little achy, I thought from working out for 3 days in a row...but a few hours into the night, if a banket touched me I was in pain, it hurt soooo bad...

In the night I woke up soaked, sweating insane but too tired to get up, I woke up at 5:30 and could not sleep, I felt so much better!

I had my shower and am proud to admit, I feel fabulous!

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

Today we went to The Boy in Striped Pajamas at the Garneau Theater, it was amazing. Jake and Tim have been WW I and WW II historians and we have been to the Holocaust Museum in Los Angeles. They have always had an awareness and respect for those suffering because of the Holocaust. This movie was done with such respect and honesty! When the movie ended, people just sat, it was a horrific time in history and this movie was a good way to keep us aware. When we went to the Holocaust museum in LA, we had the privilege of hearing a survivors story and she made the kids promise to keep the holocaust memory alive and to share their story as they are getting old now. She was beautiful and amazing. She was stamped as a prisoner and survived!

Symphony!

William Eddins, conductor

(whom I am secretly in love with)

Famed for his style of physical comedy with a stoic, deadpan expression on his face, Buster Keaton's activity as a performer and director is widely regarded to be among the most innovative and important work in the history of cinema. Considered one of the finest silent film comedies ever made, Buster Keaton's The General (1927) will be shown on the big screen accompanied by the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra in an orchestral score that was compiled from original cue sheets by internationally renowned silent film accompanist, Dennis James.

Edmonton's symphony orchestra

Today we went to see Buster Keaton in the General, a silent film that was so funny with the orchastra playing the music...it was so good. There were some really really funny parts!

Loved it!

Can you say SANTA!!???

I LOVE Christmas, I love preparing, decorating, baking ( the only time of the year), the snow and laughter, the excitment and the celebration of Jesus!

Tatyanah checking Santa's list, her name was not at the top of the lst but she was thrilled to see Brooke's name!

And of course Tatyanah and Michaela had to pose with the jolly old fellow!

Rememberance Day

Jakob went with his cadets and other cadets from other squadrons to sell poppies for Remembrance day, he was so adorable I had to take a few pictures!

I am amazed and in awe at what the soldiers have done for our freedom, and while I am not an advocate for war, I am so proud of the men and woman who have put themselves out there for us.

God Bless our Soldiers!
